Castle 2

This is the remaining part of the duke's castle within a large fortified defense plant, in its oldest parts dating back to the 12th century. Alone standing is the defense tower, built in the 15th century, with six stories and a height of 45m. The duke's castle is currently used as a community center, the tower as a museum. The <market> Perchtolsdorf is located at the southwest border of Vienna, at the foot of the <Wienerwald>, a beautiful place, surrounded by vineyards. It was destroyed by the Turks in 1683 and rebuilt around the castle. The painting is by Gerhard Neswadba, on display at Galerie Otto, Wien.
