Winter Solstice

Greetings and well being to all. Yuletide Merriment resound.

This is a time of giving and receiving without restriction. It is a time of
being rewarded. The Mother is now the Wise Woman and in this time of year she gifts us with knowledge. On the 21st we will build a fire so that the father sun may see and remember to return to us. The next one will be at Imbolc as we will build one for him to use as a guide, to show our faith in him and trust. We are now in the hands of the Crone solely.

She will remember and recognise what we have done that is good since the last time the Crone was upon us. We are richly rewarded as deserved with knowledge leading to wisdom leading to power. Power is knowing and in using righteously. This does not come free and is not handed to us. I met her a few days ago in an awake-meditative state and she said to me : " I can give you the answers to many things, but I cannot hand the answers to you, for then how shall you learn? I will point the way for you, however and it is up to you to follow the direction and learn what you will."

She is very right, for that is the way it has always been.

Let us celebrate this festive time... decorate the Yule tree, burn a Yule
log, dance, eat. Express merriment, joy, laughter and share knowledge with those of other religions celebrating other special meanings this time of year. If you find you cannot, then remember you are no better.

Christ was actually born in September. Early Christians moved the
celebration to December to conflict with this Pagan festival time. We
remember the past...  things do not so easily get forgotten even over many generations, yet as Druids it is time to take the reigns and make the step for peace between religions. Druidism, Wicca etc.. they are not yet recognised religions but they will be.

Druidism is large enough to make it into magazines now... it is time to
climb out of the cave... to "don your robes and walk into the city" and be that which you were born to be. Peacemaker, teacher, father, mother, daughter, son. Walker of worlds and knower of the mysteries. Instead of working with the wind, BE the wind!

This is what the Goddess wants of us. This is what the world needs to heal. People need someone to come to for guidance and the Druids need to be there to help. "I will help you" is something I have said many many times.

You want the gift of knowledge this winter? Then first give all the
knowledge you can... you will then see it come to you :)

I come not often to this place as much. I felt some difficulty with that.
I asked of the Mother what I should do. She said to me: "The greatest of teachers do not teach every day. Give people first the time to study and learn the words of what was said first. Then return when you feel within your heart it is the right time. Listen to your own intuition and it will be a faithful guide. Intuition comes from the female half of the person and is often neglected and is shadowed by the male half of the persona. Do not do this... allow it to flow freely, for it is born of the Goddess and will guide you true. Use for teaching. Use it always. If others cannot wait for one to teach the next lesson and leave, then they are not deserving of the teaching."
