July 2002: The Lagoon has reached 10,000 hits since December 2001! Currently the Lagoon is ranked at #7 on the Zoo Tycoon Top 100! Thanks to everyone who has visited and continues to have an interest in the site. You are all very appreciated and I enjoy passing along ZT ideas to you. I've added a Question and Answer page under the tips section. It used to be the FAQ but I added some questions I was asked via email, as well as some of those that were asked in the guestbook. If you have a question you can't find the answer to, let me know and I will try to help. I am also going to add a Scenario Help section & a newsletter soon. Sorry about the lack of updates...I graduate from college on Saturday so that's my excuse :) Nothing new to post today, but thanks to all who have signed the guestbook and asked me to add links. Congratulations to me! :) haha. The Zoo Tycoon Lagoon has won the Zoo Tycoon Central ZT Award for most unique site. YAY! This is what Technical Death, the award-giver had to say: 

"This is one site that is easy on the eyes, the format looks fantastic. This is one site I have seen that only does tips and strats, and boy, are they good. You can really learn a thing or two from this site, if you don't, you're from Microsoft :)

The tips were updated on boosting guest happiness as soon as they come in the zoo, and also on how to change an exhibit's name -- there was some confusion about this, so I did a screen shot with instructions. :) Check em out!

The Zoo Tycoon Central ZT Awards start today and like I said before, I think I've got a chance, since all my tips are original and my site is well-organized. Well, at least that's what everybody says in the guestbook...see for yourself!

Zoo Tycoon Central's ZT website awards will begin soon. There are five other sites in contest with mine. They are all really awesome sites. Technical Death starts judging on March 11th. I think my site has a good chance because all my stuff is original. If you're looking for what the game is about, screen shots, etc. then go to the official site. If you want NEW ideas and tips, you can find them on my site. I also organize the cheats a little better than most folks. I don't use a lot of graphics that slow down download times for the pages, but I guess some folks like that stuff. Anyway, good luck to all!

Zoo Tycoon fans rejoice! This summer, Microsoft will release an expansion pack for our favorite game in which you can create prehistoric pandemonium with the addition of dinosaurs, and all kinds of new objects.

I finally beat the Endangered Species scenario, but I'm so disgusted with it, that I'm just going to move on now. THe Beach Resort Zoo was almost a joke. I've got all the requirements to win the Island Zoo (#9) but I've still got 18 months to go. I gotta get my guests a little bit happier and keep the suitability over 85 (my camel's rating goes from 85 to 84 if there's even one single pile of poo in his exhibit). So it's going well, just gotta keep it up.

So I played the Endangered Species scenario AGAIN. This time I got all the animals needed to breed in the first 6 months or so. But now, my guest happiness sits at 82 (need 93). What the heck?! I can't figure it out. I'll keep ya posted. :)

So I'm stuck on the Endangered Species scenario. I get everything just the way it should be but the black leopards won't breed, or the okapi won't, or the guests aren't happy enough. I've done it three time now, and I've tried it the same way on the last two, with completely different results. Strange. I'll update the "my zoos" section when I beat it.

Read a cool interview with the guy whose company did the sound design (music and sound FX) for ZT.  Check out this thread on the MGON Zoo Tycoon Discussion Forum that has a huge amount of ZT tips and FAQs.  I added a guestbook. Sign in and let me know what you think of the site.

I haven't had much time to play ZT lately. :( But hopefully after classes start again Wednesday, I will (ha ha). I added a news archive so this page wouldn't get cluttered. I added a new cheat and a few links.

Alright already.
I know a lot of the info on this site can be found other places on the web. I've collected a lot of this info from other places, but I'd say close to 85% of it is my own stuff. So if you want to use it or distribute it elsewhere, at least credit me (Bonnie Hunt, or ZooCrazy, as I'm also known) or post a link to my site or both. If you're feeling really generous, emailing me and letting me know that you're using  it would also be really nice. But just copying my info and posting it to a bulletin board or your own website is just kinda rude. I put a lot of work into making this site useful, so please respect that. Maybe I'm just being a little uptight about this but, hey, it's my site and I'll be uptight if I want to be :)
