My grandfather was Joseph Smith Inman b.1883 of Union, S.C. area. He married Nancy Stepp (circa 1910)from the Flat Rock area of Hendersonville, N.C. Her parents were Thomas Stepp & Loo Hill. Nancy died approx. 1914 after having two children, one was my mother.
If anyone has any information about the Stepp side of the family, I would love to here from you. Joseph Smith's parents were John Inman and Cynthia Knox. Her parents were Morgan Knox and Mary Bentley. They were all buried in the Mt. Joy Church Cemetary just outside of Union. I have information that goes further back if anyone is interested. Please get in touch if you have information to share.
