Golden was married to Polly in Washington County Kentucky 7 Dec 1830.
This causes me to believe he may be the son of Edmund Inman and
Fanny Thurman. Edmund is the son of William and Susannah Inman,
born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. After William's death in about
1803, his son's William, Jesse, Shadrach and Edmund moved to Washington
County Kentucky, where my Great-great Grandfather was married about
27 yrs later. I'm still looking for some proof of a solid link between
Golden and the Virginia branch of the family. If "anyone out there"
has this information, please give me a shout!

Henry Inman of this Inman family was an early pioneer of Beaver County, PA.
We believe he came from somewhere in Virginia. All the succeeding generations
are well documented. They all lived in that county. Many still do. The Chippewa
Methodist Church, which Henry founded with his friend and partner, Abraham Powers,
celebrated its 200th birthday in 1996. All of the listed Inmans are also buried
in Beaver County with the exception of the present Charles David Inman, my husband,
who is still very much alive!

Sarah Inman married Christian Rochester in Stark County, Ohio 29 Dec. 1836.
In the 1850 Ohio census, she was 30 years old, and born in Pennsylvania.
She had a sister (Mary or Priscilla) who married a John Rochester. I assume
brothers married sisters. Sarah died and was buried in Union County, South
Dakota in 1884.

My Inmans that I know of are from present day Little River, used to be
North Myrtle Beach and before that Wampee ( 1930's). I am trying to find a
Drisdell ( pronounced around there as Driesel) Inman. In a survey the
surveyor wrote Inmon. He had 3 brothers Albert, William and Daniel. An old
timer said he thought Drisdell went to Florida. Nobody know what happened
to him. When I suggested that maybe there was a fight she replied " No
ma'am the Inman's are good people, never any fights, no , no, no, no."
She was most upset. Drisdell is my big mystery. Thanks'

I've been trying to find my lineage for so long now...nobody in my family
is of much help. The farthest back I can go is my Great-Great Grandfather
who's name was John Inman. Supposedly he ran a hotel and saloon down in TX.
My Great Grandfather, William, was born Sept. 1, 1872 (Martin Co., IN) and
died May 26, 1962 (Daviess Co, IN). He was first married to Dolly Parham
(she died in 1913). They had 2 daughters, Jesse (Fitzgibbons of Indianapolis,
IN) and Hazel, and one son named Ross. William later married Coy Bean in
1920. They had one daughter, Maysel (Lee of Marion, IL) and a son, William
Inman Jr. (Sandborn, IN). Maysel first married George Harmon and had 2 kids,
Ted and Karen. She then married Garner Lee and had one child, Peggy Jo.
My Great Grandfather, William, also had 3 step-children, Leo Manning of
Plainville, IN...Hayes Manning of Indianapolis, IN...and Helen Rollins of
Newberry. William had 12 grandkids; 6 great grandkids; and a half-brother,
Frank Flummerfelt of Beaumont Texas. He also had more brothers and sisters,
George, Noah, Hattie, and I'm not sure of any others. Noah married a woman
by the name of Anna. They had 2 sons, Samuel and George, and had 2
daughters, Ivy and Merlie. George (football coach at Vincennes,IN for 26
years) married a woman who they called Becky (she had a different name
though). George and Becky had 2 sons, Robert and Richard, and 2 daughters,
Mary Jo and Bonnie. I know Richard went to West Point and received a
Silver Star for fighting in Korea. Robert taught at Stanford University.
Also, my grandmother tells me that she thought that my Great Grandfather
had either another brother or half-brother by the name of Ike Inman who
dealt with oil in Texas. She also tells me that their was a famous Indiana
lawyer by the name of Ephram Inman in our line and a movie was made about
him. But besides that...I know nothing beyond what you see here. My
grandmother said that "legend has it" that there were three brothers that
came to the U.S. and they all went different directions...to the Midwest,
South, and far West, and that those three brothers are in my lineage...but
who knows =) Can anyone help me out here???
