It seems that all of my ancestors from the Inman/Wall side of my family lived in or around Pittsylvania Co., VA. I have been unable to find any information on any of them prior to the early 1800's. Ancestors include Inman, Wall, Mays, Callahan, Parish, Reagan, Giles, Dishman. All lines come to a dead end. I just recently discovered that Pittyslvania County formed from Halifax County in the late 1700's. This may be the clue I need to find further information.

My mother is a member of the D.A.R. and has traced her lineage, (Yeattes), back to England in the early 1600's. She has been unsuccessful in finding IMBODEN.

Most of my INMAN information came from a researcher for Clay Co., IL. Elizabeth "Betsy" CURTIS was married twice before m. 11/28/1853 to Joseph C. CURTISS their children: Lovey Jane b. 3/15/1857 m. Henry ROBERTS; and Mary b. Abt. 1859. She was briefly married to a DILLMAN then to William Ira WILLIS (farmer). William and Betsy's other children: Laura Jane b. 1869, m. BUTE; Joseph Oliver b. 1872,m. Emma MERRITT and Minnie MERRITT; and David Wilburt b. 6/12/1879 in Jasper Co., IL m. Mattie McPEAK.
Lovena "Lovey" INMAN's husband William "Wiley" Curtis was a farmer and a preacher. He is buried in the Weaver Cemetery in Oblong IL. Their other children: Asa; Mary Ann; Eli; Daniel R.; Rebecca M.; Little Berry; Martha E.; John H.; and Margaret.

Wiley J. DICKEY was a full-blooded Comanche. Both of his parents were born in  GA. Fronie B. INMAN's father, A. INMAN, was a civil war vet.
Fronie had 1 sister, Gertrude. There is mention of a Carson INMAN and a Maze INMAN. There was mention of an INMAN son and his wife from Lubbock, TX that were both school teachers who had a son named Fred.
It is said that the INMANs came from TN to OK before it was a state.
