The above family information came from my Grandmother (daughter of Margaret Elizabeth Inman) and also from Margaret Elizabeth Inman (my Great-Grandmother) who also recorded this information (along with children's name and their birth dates, marriage dates and death dates) in our family bible.

The disparity between my Mother's (June Gwendolyn Olsen) birth date and the marriage date of Helen Gallagher to Grant Clark Olsen was due to a previous marriage of Helen Gallagher to Philip H. W. Lich (who was the biological father of my Mother - June). My Mother was adopted by Grant Clark Olsen after the marriage to Helen.

Hello cousin!

I've been "addicted" since I did a project in history class in 8th grade in 1974. When my mother's cousin Willis Taylor Finley got the bug in the 90's, I provided him with hundreds of family names to get him started. (A fact he has since forgotten.)

Several of my lines I've got back to the 12th century. I also have some brick walls with 2-gr. grandparents who are remembered by my parents. (James Smith and father-in-law John Brown. Could have at least had the decency to name one Horatio or Frederick. ha ha)

I enjoy hearing people say they have "done their family tree". I don't feel like mine will be "done" until I hit Adam and Eve. (God, please don't let them be Smiths.)

Henry Inman – my G-G-GP – worked on the railways, I think, and must have moved around England as the railways were being built – his children seem to have been born all over the place!

I've no idea what that 'Sare' name is. Could be 'Sayer' badly spelt, I suppose and could be a maternal forebear's maiden name. It's the sort of mystery that I'd love to clear up. Probably not a real mystery at all!

I do not know for sure that I descend from the Inman family. I have cousins who are Inmans. Also, My 4th great-grandfather. Reuben Hail (1802-1873) (his third marriage and her first) married Mary Ann Inman (born 1834 IN, died 1853 CA). Any help would be appreciated. The Hail family and the Inman family married more than once. Mary Ann Inman was born in 1834 to Ezekiel and Sally (Sanders) Inman in Indiana. Sally died and Mary Ann and her sister, Elizabeth were taken in by Martha Taylor of Nashville, TN. Martha became a widow and moved to Missouri where she married Reuben Hail in 1839. They settled down in Greene/Christian County, MO. In 1849, Martha died. In 1852, Reuben married Mary Ann Inman. (Reuben Hail was 50 and Mary Ann was 18) William Fielding Taylor (son of Martha Taylor) married Elizabeth Ellen Inman. In December of 1852, Reuben and family plus William F. Taylor and family moved to Merced County, California. Shortly after, Mary Ann passed away from consumption. Reuben died in 1873. William Taylor died in 1896. Elizabeth Ellen passed away in 1910 at the age of 80 years. I hope that this helps someone. Reuben Hail had a grandson named Joseph C. "Bud" Hale who lived near Sparta, MO, in Christian County. Joseph's daughter, Martha J. Hale, married Isaiah J. Inman on 25 December, 1904. If you need more information, please let me know. Brian
