Carey G. Snellgrove married his 1st cousin, Anne Langford, the daughter of Asa Langford and his wife, Elizabeth Snellgrove, who was also a descendant of Elsey Inman.
I am the 4th great-grandnephew of Ava Allen, who married Daniel Inman, son of Shadrach Inman and Mary Jane McPheeters. Daniel Inman and Ava Allen were listed in the 1820 and 1830 Federal Census of Burke Co., GA. This Inman line has been well researched. Ava Allen's father was John Allen.

He had 6 children They are Lola May 4/16/1920 - 11/16/1977 ( my mother) Tommy Fay 12/12/1921, Fern 2/14/1923, L.Q. 6/21/1924, Veda Lee 11/19/1926, Lalah 5/12/1928. As far as I know they were all born in Banner Ms. Arthur and his wife are buried in the cemetery at Driver's Flat in Banner Ms. Lola May had three children Pamela Ann Martindale, 11/10/55 David Lee Martindale 8/4/57 -8/7/57 Arthur Lee Martindale 3/2/61. I have two girls Allison Dawn Lewis 9/27/83 and Andrea Nicole Lewis 11/20/86. The very best documentation I have found on the Inman family is the book "Nidderdale" by H. SPEIGHT, published 1906. My copy, bought in England last year, cost me 85 pounds!! But well worth it. It has a 72-page appendix "A SHORT ACCOUNT OF THE FAMILY OF INMAN OF NIDDERDALE" , by Alfred H INMAN. I believe that the Robert INMAN called "Bold Robin of Bouthwaite" was not the one that you mention (with the date 1673 over the doorway), but rather his grandfather Robert INMAN (my 9great-grandfather), who was born c 1584 and died 1662. This Robert had quite a large family, of whom my ancestor Michael was the youngest son. I really have heaps of info on this line of Inmans, wills for Bold Robin, his son Michael (1630-1691), grandson Robert (1658-1721), greatgrandson Christopher (1693-1737), gggrandson Michael (1716-1784) etc. I suspect that the Richard INMAN already mentioned in your files (in Canada, I think), is one of "mine". I have a Richard INMAN born 1817 Todwick, Yorks. He married Mary Ann - and went to Manitoba. Really thrilled to find this page. Best wishes.
