The Morgan’s Point Police Department provides 24-hour patrol service to the citizens of Morgan’s Point. Morgan’s Point is one of the only smaller cities in Bell County that provides 24- Hour police protection for its’ citizens. Officers are trained to respond to crimes in progress, provide emergency services for injuries and accidents, and answer general calls for service. Patrol officers also take reports of criminal activity and conduct preliminary investigations of crime scenes.

In addition, the state requires every police officer to attend at least 20 hours of mandatory training on topics such as Racial Profiling and Asset Forfeiture and other training relating to human relations. It is the policy of this Department to require at least 40 hours of yearly police in-service training. Most officers of the Morgan’s Point Police Department are veteran officers with years of experience.
