It is with great sadness that this page is
being made because a little but of my heart is with each and every dog on it and
I know that this page is only going to get longer. How do you list the dogs
because I loved each one in their own way and they each brought something into
my life. The only way to be fair is by listing them as they passed to the
Rainbow bridge. You say you don't know about the Rainbow Bridge well here's the
story.

The above picture made by Ann Finer
The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called
Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and
play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and
comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember
them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss
someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs
carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you
cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses
rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once
more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never
absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

WHAT'S LOVED, WILL NEVER DIE
There is another side to life ...
A side we cannot see.
Where flowers grow with 'baby' buds,
waiting for you and me.
For those gone first,
the 'lucky' ones ...
They cannot tell us why,
but look, they send us messages,
they're written in the sky.
We know their names,
we feel them still,
their nose against our cheek.
We hold them close within our hearts
and in our memories ...
Our tears will fall,
we miss them all.
But oh their peace is true.
They run, they play, look down each day,
to catch a glimpse of you.
Who wrote the words?
How do they go?
Nothing is ours to keep?
Our loved ones live
beyond earth's life,
in heaven's watchful sleep ...
Grieve yes, but then ... let go
for the flowers on the hill,
were promised all will bloom again
and believing so ... they will.
I thank thee Lord for taking them,
for their hearts, now beat anew.
And, in my faith, I see them play,
stars twinkling in the sky ...
and in my faith I do believe,
what's loved, will never die!

Charmin came to us as a stray and
was our free spirit, no fence could or would keep her in. Her daily routine was
to go down to the creek and have a swim. She was before The Wild Bunch or us
being on the internet and it was probably her personality that made Sheila and I
strive to help as many dogs as we could. Charmin I love ya and I know you swim
every day at the bridge.

BoBo leader of the pack, the first
of the Wild Bunch Alpha dogs. She had more personality than any dog I've ever
known and could steal your heart away with that little twist she had with her body
and that little twinkle in her eye. I still go to where Bo was buried and talk
to her about the new dogs that come here. She still rules my heart and is
thought about often.

Butch taught us peacefulness, he
was very laid back and nothing bothered him He had a heart as big as his body
and was tolerant of everything. The day before Butch passed into the spirit
world he was at the Vets because he just wasn't doing well. When I picked him up
he walked down between the cages and stopped in front of this one cage. He would
not come no matter what I said so I went to see what he was up to. He was
standing in front of this cage with a Brittany
Spaniel and I gave this dog a treat and we went up to pay his bill. The Vet told
me that that dog was 7 months old and was brought in to be put to sleep because
she was jumping up on people. I told him the dog couldn't be put to sleep if she
wasn't there. We took her home and that dog is our Annie. Butch had picked out
his replacement in the Wild Bunch. This is Butch's last e-mail
Oh this weary body how I wished for this sleep of healing. I
wake and find
my body young again amongst a sea of flowers, flowing rivers and
tranquility. I do remember my last hours in my painful body with my human
petting me and telling me that it's ok to go into the spirit world if that was
my wish. No I wasn't afraid of the spirit world just upset for the
sadness that I'm going to leave behind. After I felt the everlasting sleep
take my body I could hear the howling of the Wild Bunch sending me off (you may
not believe this but about 2 minutes after Butch passed, with all the dogs
outside, Stoney started howling followed by the rest of the Wild Bunch. Don't
tell me they don't know). What a glorious send off, no one could ask for a
better one. Now I look down and what I had feared most was happening, a sea of
tears flowing from my humans, please don't cry for me because I am free of that
old ragged body and I can run like the wind again. I do want to thank all of you
humans that have listened to my stories, especially you Sheltie humans that
indulged in my non Sheltie posts I hope I brought a smile to your face. You are
all special people and tonight I want you to look to the sky, you will see my
star shine and it will shine bright because of the happiness I've brought some
of you. Now don't shed all those tears like my human is because you may put out
my light.
Hey does anybody here know a dog named Charmin? Charmin there you are, hey do
you have a creek picked out so we can go swimming, Bo you little devil you are
sure missed how's everything. Oh humans I'm sorry please excuse my rudeness bye
my friends
Butch
Yellow Lab with a heart of gold.

Amigo my heart, my soul and my
spirit. If I needed comforting he was there, if I needed love he was there, if I
needed solitude he showed up proved me wrong. I have cried a million tears for
you Amigo and will shed more. This is what I wrote about him on his day of
passing May 7, 2001.
Tonight in my Arms at 3:13 Amigo saved me my moment for a
trip to the Vet in the morning.
Tonight for the last time I shall see your tail wag and I taste your sweet
tongue on my face but your memory shall last forever in my mind. Amigo as I've
always said you are a good boy and unlike a lot that have gone before you, you
have already earned your wings through devotion. You passed as it should have
been, home where all your adventures were the greatest. Tonight we had a great
time on the bed with our eyes touching, not having to say anything because we
know how each feels. Yes it was a great time for tummy scratching and for
telling each other of our love.
My heart hurts that you are not with us anymore but in my heart I also know you
are in a better place and that you now run with others at the Rainbow Bridge.
Now go my good boy, go and find Butch and Bo. Play and romp with all the great
ones that have gone before you.
Mind not my tears my good boy because I shed them for the many times I will call
out your name forgetting your not here, Mind not my tears because I shall miss
you sweet breath on my cheek, mind not my tears because you will be surely
missed.
Therapy
I got an e-mail from a friend of mine and she wrote to me
about a friend of hers that has Ovarian cancer and was having trouble dealing
with it and having trouble going to sleep. One night as she was sleeping she
dreamt she was in a meadow and it was like a pure place, untouched by humans and
she was with a Sheltie that made her feel relaxed and as she watched this
Sheltie play and as she pet him she felt a calming come over her. She wrote that
she thought this dogs name was Amigo. My friend sent her to Amigo's web page and
the woman said that Amigo was the Sheltie in her dream. Amigo had passed into
the spirit world about a year before this dream happened. I do believe that
Amigo is helping others from the spirit world
No one has loved their animals
more than Sheila and I, tears are running down my face now as i make this page
and as they will every time I update this page. I have many more pictures to put
up in the followin years as my loved ones pass into the spirit world. Give you
pet a hug tonight because you never know when the guy in the sky will call their
name.
