Associate Membership

Those who wish to share in the prayers and goals of the Apostolate of Our Lady of Ransom may become Associate Members. Associates are not required to have a spiritual director or make vows. Associates unite with vowed members in praying for the goals of the Apostolate but do not undertake any binding obligations. Members merely promise to do their best to:

1. Make a simple Morning Offering for the intentions of the Apostolate.

2. Pray at least five decades of the Rosary every day.

3. Offer up one Mass and Communion per month for the intentions of the Apostolate.

4. Try their best to live their primary vocation in life with dedication and to live the Rule of the Apostolate as well as they can, but without vows.

Attendance at meetings is never a requirement for membership. However, it is good for Associates to gather together on a regular basis for common prayer. Toward that end, Associates may join together with vowed members to form chapters of the Apostolate. Membership is open to all baptized Catholics. Since there are no formal obligations, there are no age limits. Youth may wish to form their own chapters.

Guidelines for Youth Groups

Youth groups should be youth-organized and youth-led but adult sponsored. They should not gather without adult supervision.

Ransom Youth should gather primarily for prayer and study. As Associate Members, their goal is to live the Rule of the Apostolate as well as they can, but without vows.

The Apostolate is not a fund-raising organization or a service organization. Ransom Youth should not do any fundraising unless it is necessary to pay for a place to meet, to go on pilgrimage, or to buy study materials.
