Can you tell me a little more about using native sedges instead of grass? I have a few "growing" in my yard at the new house. I'm trying to keep them watered so they'll survive. I've got a light layer of sand on top of very hard clay and most of the yard is shaded by Post Oaks. There's only a strip of the back yard that gets any quantity of sun. Suggestions for these situations???? The yard is basically a clean slate except for the Post Oaks and surrounding woods.
