Hi Brad, Yes there are many ways to germinate Mexican Plum seed and I would say that the two easiest ways for me are (1 just plant the seed in the ground or in a pot ( after cleaning the pulp off the stone ( seed )) and put them outside maybe under a oak tree ( the pots ) keep them watered and in time they will pop-up or (2 clean the pulp off the stone ( seed ) and what I do is put some vermiculite that is moistened in a baggie them put in the refrigerator till I see sign of them sprouting then I just plant them in pots.So thats a short list of what to do but if you want to really know more I would suggest you look at the book by Jill Nokes,How to grow native plants of Texas and the southwest as it is the best overall book you will find on growing native plants.
