Hi John,I'll try to keep this short but you asked a lot things so here go's, I think it might be a bit to late for a real fertilizing ( the end of Dec. ) and in the future try to remember ( and this is a ballpark figure ) April fools, forth of July, and Labor Day. with fall being the most inportent feeding of all. Compost is always a great thing for lawns, and trees and beds as organic matter is the one thing that will do more then any other one thing you can do as it feeds the microprobes and it's the microprobes that make the soil alive. remember healthy soils grow healthy plants so yes compost, compost, compost. now if you really want to do your lawn a service aerate your lawn then lay down about 1/4 to 1/2 inch compost and you can't do better then that then come spring start a progran of fertilaztion. Now as to watering if we do not get rain yes you need to water ( and we are down very low on the rainfall of late and the soil is very dry underground. Bermuda is a tough grass and if you just water it it will come back but if you take care of it feed it and water it you will be amazed at how fast and good it will come on. I do look forward to you coming by the nursery anytime and we can kick it around somemore. Reid
